circa 1977 along with the first releases by the Clash, Wire, and X-Ray

AMEBIX - Arise / Plus Two CD $12.00 "Arise!
Plus Two contains the original 9 songs from the out of print Arise! plus
2 songs that were previously never released. AMEBIX were far ahead of
their time playing slow, moody, Venom-esque, heavy punk rock. Bands, such
as SEPULTURA, NEUROSIS and WINTER, cite them as influences. Liner notes
by Pushead!" (ALTERNATIVE TENTACLES /USA)
ANNIHILATION TIME - II CD $12.00 ""II"
is the long awaited follow up to the brilliant debut from Southern California's
degenerate drug-punkers, Annihilation Time. Leaving the Black Flag and
Bl'ast! worship of their previous releases in a burning van somewhere
between the desert and the Pacific Ocean, Annihilation Time return with
a record influenced heavily by the Stooges, Alice Cooper, and early Deep
Purple yet staying true to their hardcore punk roots which lie with Black
Flag and early cult bands such as Ill Repute, Sick Pleasure or the Germs.
With the addition of new guitarist Shaun Filley (Gordon Solie Motherfuckers),
Annihilation Time found the missing link in creating their over-the-top
sound, combining snotty 80's hardcore with vicious 70's proto-punk."
(MANIC RIDE / USA)
BARONESS - First LP $9.00 "Debut 12"ep

talent of Fucking Champs and you're getting close. A three song EP clocking
in at 18 minutes and it doesn't let up until its over."(Hyperrealist

Finnish HC masterpiece. (PROPAGANDA /FINLAND)
BAYONETTES - Stuck In A Rut 7" $4.00
"Keeping with the tradition of a solid punk and hardcore scene in
Toronto, The Bayonettes present their second single and first for Deranged
Records. These two girls and two guys love early '80s punk and do their
best to replicate the sounds of the early LA bands, with sharp female
vocals and catchy hooks." (DERANGED /CANADA)

Straight foirward HC punk band from Syracuse (Third Party / USA)
BLANK STARE - White Hell 7" $4.00 "Fresh

with plenty of angst and fury." (Third Party / USA)
BORN
DEAD/PELIGRO SOCIAL - split 7" $4.00 Two of the bay areas
best punk bands. Oakland's Born/Dead continue on with their well known
brand of Christ on Parade//Aus Rotten style political hardcore punk, this
time w/ a sick build up into full bore rager and when Wyatt and Willdog
scream, the kids will lose their shit. Peligro Social from SF make their
vinyl debut and introduce their own style of classic spanish punk. Melodic
punk riffs mixed with a bit of rock n roll wank (think Gn'Fn'R) topped
with snotty spanish vocals, fucking ripps. (ex-Cropknox) Packaged in a
pocket gatefold 7" sleeve with a 12 page booklet, this is top notch.(TANK
CRIMES /US)
BUZZCOCKS
"Another Music... " LP $15.00 "This album is by
far the best Buzzcocks LP, and one of the best punk records ever. Every
song on here is at the very least great. Only four of sixteen songs on
"Singles Going Steady" appeared on their albums, and "I
Don't Mind" and "Autonomy" are two of them. "I Don't
Mind" is punk/pop at its finest, and the quintessential Buzzcocks
song. Beautiful harmonIes, clever Pete Shelley lyrics about the frustrations
of love, catchy melodies, buzzsaw guitars and 100 mph pace...what the
Buzzcocks were all about!" (FANCLUB /.EURO. IMPORT)
CALIFORNIA LOVE - Can't Waste Death LP $10.00
ll out sonic bombardment of ultrafast and incredibly angry hardcore, old-school
sound with nods to early UK grind and Slap-a-Ham juggernauts. Assaulting
"punch in the throat" production, well-played, maniacal power-violence
with blasting and uncompromising rage. Split-release CD with 625 Productions
available soon. Members of LOOK BACK AND LAUGH and TALK IS POISON. Hand
silk-screened covers. (LENGUA ARMADA / US)
CAN "Delay" LP $16.00 "prime
CAN recorded in 1968-69 and an essential addition to the early studio
albums. raw and hypnotic, psych and garage influenced experimental rock
that's rarely been bettered. this album features malcom mooney as singer,
who grabes hold of every song with a crazed determination to hold the
listener's focus. while later CAN singer damo suzuki was a much more subtle
singer, leaving space for the band to improvise, mooney aims straight
for the jugular, comming on like a rabid schizophrenic needing your attention.
this album was first released in 1982."
CAN "Monster Movie" LP $16.00 "Can's
debut is the only full-length, proper release to feature original voc
alist Malcolm Mooney, whose free-form ranting is matched by a raw, aggressive
dynamic unlike anything else in the group's canon; driving, dissonant
songs like the extraordinary "Father Cannot Yell" and "Outside
My Door" even owe a rather surprising debt to psychedelia and garage
rock. More indicative of things to come is the closer "Yoo Doo Right,"
a 20-minute epic built on the kinds of hypnotic motifs and minimal rhythms
which quickly became Can trademarks." — Jason Ankeny, AMG
CAN "Soundtracks" LP $16.00 "Wow.
A great selection of rare tracks from experimental krautrockers Can, recorded
in the late 60s and early 70s for inclusion in number of German movie

Capitanos), Mädchen mit Gewalt - AKA Love by Rape (1969 - dir. Roger
Fritz), Deep End (1970 - dir. Jercy Skolimovsky) and Bottom (1970 - dir.
Thomas Schamoni)."

the legendary cult BUCKET FULL OF TEETH, and was produced by genious Will
Killingsworth of ORCHID/BUCKET FULL OF TEETH/AMPERE glory. This record

CAPITALIST CASUALTIES - Disassembly Line
LP $11.00 After 9 years, the debut from this legendary California power
violence act is available once again. Includes 24 tracks from the original
plus their hard-to-find Art Of Ballistics EP and a few old compilation
tracks. A true punk classic.
CARDIAC ARREST - s/t 7" $4.00 "Hard to find debut 7"
from this St. Louis band. Six total ragers that remind me a lot of Negative
FX and other early boston hardcore bands ... this record had me floored
on first listen, which should explain why we are releasing their second
EP this summer. If you like your hardcore fast and fucking raw then there
is no reason why you shouldn't own this." (UNDERESTIMATED /US)
CAREER SUICIDE - Kangaroo LP $11.00 "Originally
released as a 7" in Europe on Kangaroo Records three years ago (now
sold out) and with limited availability in North America, these eight
tracks are once again available. This pressing comes in a 12" format
featuring a previously unreleased bonus track ("Signs of Life")
from the same recording session with Chris Colohan (Cursed, Left For Dead)
on drums. For those unfamiliar with Career Suicide, they play extremely
well executed snotty 80's US Hardcore with a good dose of KBD punk. They
currently have under their belts one album (UglyPop/Parts Unknown), four
7"s (Slasher/Even Worse/Kangaroo/Deranged), one split 12" (Deranged),
one 12" (Feral Ward) and one compilation CD (Deranged). Not only
have all these releases been extremely well received, Career Suicide was
also recently interviewed/featured in Vice, Thrasher, MRR, and Razorcake.
In addition, they have toured most of the USA, Europe, Japan, parts of
Canada and Australia. Needless to say, this is a must have." (DERANGED/CANADA)
CLOAK DAGGER - Pinata 7" $4.00 "The
highly anticipated debut EP from Richmond, VA’s CLOAK/DAGGER. “PINATA”
delivers up four sonic blasts of raw, no-frills punk rock, attacking you
with a full on barrage of BLACK FLAG-esque guitar riffage combined with
a driving rhythm and infectious choruses guaranteed to leave you wanting
more. Abrasive and addictive, this slab of wax won’t leave your
turntable." (GRAVE MISTAKE /US)
CLOCKCLEANER - The Hassler CD $10.00 Seven
song debut from Philadelphia damaged punk degenerates, Clockcleaner. With
a sound rooted somewhere between West Coast ruiners (Flipper, Black Flag,
Melvins) and Touch & Go style noise rock (Big Black, Jesus Lizard,
Scratch Acid), Clockcleaner recall a time when destroying the status quo
was the prime objective before "post punk" meant neutered, watered
down makeout music and when "punk" was a mentality and had no
limits. (MANIC RIDE / US)
COLD SWEAT - Blinded CD $9.00 " Hardcore
was never a genre that left much room for interpretation. The bands who
play it well usually play by the rules and those who would like you to
believe they are breaking out of the mold, more often than not, are still
playing by someone's rules. Every now and again however there comes a
band so focused and hellbent on putting cracks in the foundation that
their sincerity and intent cannot be questioned. Black Flag did it in
the mid 1980's, bands such as Born Against and Rorschach did it in the
early 1990's and Cold Sweat are the current torchbearers of this sonic
nihilism. Their music is manic, mean, and above all, intense; Their live
shows - a maelstrom of chaotic guitars, razor sharp percussion, and a
frontman with all the characteristics and charisma of a frieght train
about to swipe your head clean off; and with their songs alternating between
full on thrash destruction and slow, pounding drone, all the while playing
like a band of humans on fire, Cold Sweat are hardcore personified."
(MANIC RIDE / USA)
COLISEUM - Goddamage CD $11.00 "Not content with only one
salient, uncompromising hardcore band, BLACK CROSS guitarist Ryan Patterson
grabbed his guitar and a microphone and formed Louisville's newest powerhouse
punk outfit, COLISEUM. Taking on vocal and guitar duties himself, Ryan
recruited an assortment of friends, family & Louisville hardcore mainstays
to complete the lineup. Taking a different, if not altogether dissimilar,
route from BLACK CROSS' DC hardcore meets noise rock approach, COLISEUM
draws its primary influence from early 80's British punk rock a la DISCHARGE,
GBH, & MOTORHEAD, as well as hints of 90's punk and hardcore bands
like HIS HERO IS GONE, TURBONEGRO, & AVSKUM. COLISEUM'S downtuned
guitars, oppressively heavy bass and blistering d-beat drumming creates
the bleak landscape from which Ryan's desperate worldview is throatily
belted. COLISEUM is unlike anything in Louisville's vast history of punk,
hardcore and indie rock - a fast, unyielding colossus of disaffected fury
and steadfast punk rock devotion." AUXILLARY /US)
COP ON FIRE/VISIONS OF WAR - split LP (gatefold)
$11.00 "Two bands on the cutting edge of present day Euro-crust pheonomenon.
Spanish-based COP ON FIRE (members of EKKIAIA, MADAME GERMEN and STATE
OF FEAR) follow up their awesome debut LP with another excellent display
of D-beat thrash talent. Belgian crust fanatics VISIONS OF WAR tear up
the flipside with a mighty torrent of gravel throated noise that would
please even the most discerning connisseur of fine Belgian crust (they
pick up right where HIATUS left off). "
CRIMINALLY INSANE - 7" $4.00 "This
short lived Toronto band recorded this amazing demo, played one show,
and then dissapeared into the Canadian wilderness. Featuring memebers
of Fucked Up and No Warning, this one sided 7" is the vinyl version
of their demo, remastered. Keep your eyes out for a 12" coming your
way sometime in the next 5 years...." (PARTS UNKNOWN /US)
CRISIS
"Guilty Have a Past" LP $15.00 This UK punk band ran from 1977
until 1980, releasing three 7"s and a 12" EP along the way,
in a unique, minimalist and hypnotic style with very political lyrics
that made them stand out. Members Tony Wakeford and Douglas Pearce went

CURRENT 93, SCORPION WIND, BOYD RICE AND FRIENDS, etc. This LP gathers

tour of Norway, etc.) Limited copies!
CROW - Bloody Tear LP $10.00 "Bombastic
crust-metal from Tokyo, an ultra brutal lightning attack of searing riffs,
wild solos, screaming vocals and crushing rhythm section! Bleak intent
and metallic mayhem, CROW have dotted the landscape of Japanese hardcore
punk since its inception and just seem to get more devastating with age!!
This is their first full length / second LP since the 1980's, with 9 tracks.
Some of the songs are intense re-recorded versions of some of their classic
tracks (Including their signature track "Give Up All Hope" that
has been covered by numerous bands including the UK's legendary DOOM)
as well as new recordings of songs from their recent ultra-limited Japanese
releases. This is the official vinyl release of this new LP, which was
released as a CD-only on the Mangrove label in Japan. The LP sequence
has slight variations in both track listing and mixes. CROW have toured
the West Coast twice, releasing the well received 7" " Neurotic
Organization" and split EP with ARTIMUS PYLE on Prank. The first
press of this LP version comes with a gigantic poster insert!" (PRANK
RECORDS / US)

CUT THE SHIT - Harmed And Dangerous LP $9.00
"After these Bostonians dropped their debut Bored To Death 7"
on the world... They've out done themselves by now writing a completely

played with tightness, attitude, and aggression. The cover art, and insert
of this record make it as visually appealing as it is a listening orgasm
from start to finish." (GLOOM/ US)
DEADFALL -

I
ATTACK -
American Dream 7" $4.00 "I Attack throw bulldozers at
you while skating in an empty swiming pool at some rich bastard's mansion
while they're away. They carry on the hardcore attitude and sonic assault
that Los Crudos and others hatched in Pilsen eons ago (even capturing
Jose Crudos for being one mangler in their guitar tag team) with some
80's skate punk mixed in. They would be one of the better bands featured
on a Mystic Records compilation if they were from the 80s. Rob shoots
cynical venom all over the four originals criticizing the political spectrum
of capitalism, fashion over substance followers, and anyone else that
makes him get off his board! I Attack question everything which can only
be healthy in a society that forces people to accept a miserable repressive
and oppressive existence as the pre condition for "sanity";
I Attack still shows "Security is a dread disease." They also
cover Impulse Manslaughter which is another reason to get this you fans
of old underrated Chicago hardcore bands. LIVE! FIGHT! THRIVE! SURVIVE!"

teamed up with Cheech and Chong after drinking from the fountain of genius.
A complete compass of direction in humor and music and then right back
to music. Packaged in a brilliant silkscreened trifold gate cover including
poster, stickers and screened inserts. Keep an open mind and forget about

Pedestrians deliver solid mid-tempo old school punk rock in their own

– they do it well and they are original. You can check out songs

length LP comes in a thick "tip-on"/ "Japanese HC"/
"60’s" style (whichever you like to call it) jacket with
a screen printed OBI strip and inner lyric sleeve on 140g vinyl mastered
by Alan Douches.
What’s the music like? Well, that’s always a pain in the ass
question to answer. I’ll say this much though, speaking for my own
contributions in songwriting on the record, the following bands (in alphabetical
order) had an influence to a greater or lesser extent: Blue Oyster Cult,
Burn, Chain of Strength, ****, Randy Holden, Integrity, MDC, Samhain,
Siege, Whitehouse, and some others I can’t really think of right
now. That doesn’t mean you’ll necessarily hear those bands
when you play the record, but that’s who I tried to rip off on this
record, and that’s basically the kind of shit we listen to as a
band, if that helps. Thankfully, through internets technology, You can
just listen to some cuts of the album your damn self: http://www.hxcmp3.com/bands/10773/index.php

York, Esneider Huasipungo, Fly, Chris(tine) Boarts, and more. Also featured
in this issue is a hilarious tour diary by inimitable OI! hooligans HARD
SKIN, a record scumpit on obscuro ‘90s garage punk, and an interview
and photo spread with photographer Ricky Adam. The content is rounded
out by interviews with Canadian crusters AFTER THE BOMBS, Boston pop punkers
RINGERS (by our very own Al Quint), anarcho-chronicler Sean Maghee, Scandi-beat
up-and-comers ANATOMI-71, and an in-depth interview and Swedish punk history
lesson with HC legends MISSBRUKARNA. There is also a tribute to fallen
legend Pig Champion of Poison Idea, along with the usual columns, reviews,

SKITKIDS välkomna till paradiset 7"...$4
Newest release from this swedish d-beat new school band. In the tradition

Get it. You need it... just as you do their other releases. What's up
with the wierd covers though? (540 RECORDS/ US)

ENDLESS NIGHTMARE / DISSYSTEMA split EP $4
great new split from these two great HC bands... self released, this shit
is good and punk.
PEDESTRIANS 7" EP $4 Great debut EP
from Chicago’s Pedestrians... they also had a great demo out last
year... I feel this is better, although I really enjoyed the demo as well.
Great melodic punk rock that pays homage to the old CHICAGO bands Naked
Raygun, Effigies ETC... BUT in my oprion this also has a early 80's kind
of west coast punk feel to it to. Good Shit. (SOUTHKORE /Chicago)
BOXED IN LP $9...After singles on Crime Scene
and Busted Head Records comes the full length from this bunch of longstanding
UK punks. Thirteen songs in just 18 minutes. No ballads here, just full
speed ahead thrashing-punk. The record speaks for itself but if you want
to download songs you can get MP3 from Flat Earth records.... The band
features people from a whole host of old UK bands including; SAWN OFF,
HEALTH HAZARD, EBOLA, GENERIC, DOOM, MINUTE MANIFESTO etc. Needless to
say this lot know how to pummel you into the ground! " description

7”s
BOMB HEAVEN "warfear" 7"...$3.50
Young Portland band from 2002ish. They were spikey punks with a sort of
peace punk sound gone insane. Definitely a vital piece of the Portland
legacy. One member is now the newest guitarist in Hellshock. I really
like this record with it's out of tune guitars and all! (APOCALYPSE/ PDX)
INTENSITY
"ruttna bort" EP...$5 Fucking hell - INTENSITY
continues to fucking impress with theri relentless, unbridled hardcore
assault. Seven tracks of furious, barebones hardcore that borrows a bit
from both POISON IDEA (who they cover) and LIFES BLOOD, bud adding a enough
distinctive elements so that this don't come across like no rehash. It's
really too bad that they weren't able to do theri scheduled US tour a
few years back, cause they destroy live and perhabs would be getting the
props they deserve here in the US. One of the most underrated (at least
in the US) bands going these days - their name descripes them best. Review
by MT- from MRR Oct 2004 (4-way split release: PUTRID FILTH CONSPIRACY/
SWE, INTSIGATE/ SWE, KICK N' PUNCH/ DEN, TOO CIRCLE/ JAPAN)
SKELETON "what will you do?"...$4

grave." (the party's over /Seattle)
